Commentary
The client’s proposal was to subdivide the garden ground associated with Lugton Brae (a grade C listed building) located within a Conservation Area to build a contemporary two storey family home.
APT was instructed and advised the client on the best approach for the appeal to the Local Review Body.
APT prepared and submitted the appeal to the LRB Panel.
APT outlined the merits of the proposed development and demonstrated that the application is not only acceptable in the context of relevant planning policy, but would be a high quality addition to the area with no unacceptable impacts on the setting of the adjacent listed building.
Outcome
Planning permission was granted on appeal.
Impact
The client can now build a stunning, contemporary family home.
